Links to China adoption info.

To the right of this page you will see a link section. I have added a link which has a lot of information about China's one child policy and how that has effected the girls of China. The info was written a number of years ago but is still very valid. I also added a link which explains the process of adopting in China ( for those of you who wanted more info!!) I am also adding a few links to others personal adoption stories.

P.S.

Mark and Kim....the emergency eye wash sink gets the prize for the best donated item. I think it sold within 20 minutes of it's arrival. Who would have thunk it!!

YARD SALE FUNDRAISER!!

Well, we finally had the big yard sale!! Friday and Saturday morning. I must say I am not a "saleperson"!! My dad's jaw dropped a number of times when he heard me tell someone that somethingwas "free"!! But, these past two days were just another confirmation of God's hand in this adoption! We really didn't have tons of "stuff" but it was like the loaves and fishes because at the end of the second day we ended with $800.00!! Wow...we were hoping to make $400.00 but isn't it just like God to give us more than we could imagine!! Thanks to those of you who donated items for the "cause"!! I was even able to sell about 20 pairs of hand crafted ear rings!! Darren was a great jewelry salesman!! We also had many opportunities to talk to people about adopting from China!!

Thanks to my mom and dad for allowing us to have the yard sale in their carport. It rained on Saturday the hour before we started but did not rain again the rest of the time!! Thanks God!!
Our baby girl has been on my mind a lot this weekend and I heard this song in the car today and thought of her! We do not "know" her face or her "name" yet, but He does!

He Knows My Name
I have a maker
He formed my heart
Before even time began
My life was in his hand
He knows my name
He knows my every thought
He sees each tear that falls
And hears me when I call
I have a father
He calls me his own
He'll never leave me
No matter where I go
He knows my name
He knows my every thought
He sees each tear that falls
And hears me when I call

One month down...5-7 to go!!!

So they tell us that the wait for the referral of our daughter is 6-8 months!! Well, we have one month under our belt. And I must admit...time flies. Things are starting to seem more real and not so dreamlike! We continue to pray for our daughter. There are so many unknowns and we are so thankful that, although we can not yet hold her in our arms, we know that Jesus has her in the palm of His hand.
