One year ago....

After finally enjoying a bath the night before we decided to try the pool. What a success that was. Summer splashed and played. She just loved the water.




Summer's "coming out" party!!

Summer was so terrified the first few days. She was also fighting illness and just felt plain sick!! After a long trip to the orphanage we decided to try a second bath. This time she loved it. She started splashing and playing. This was the first time we were able to sit her down without her screaming!! After her bath it was like we met our Summer for the first time. She was a different baby! The next morning she was much more comfortable with us and even smiled every once in a while!
One year ago, August 20, 2005, at this gate little Jin XiaYue was found wrapped in white cotton clothing with a little red note stating she was born July 20, 2005. She was alone that day.
We visited this spot July 26th, 2006. Our little Summer Anne Xiayue will never be alone again. We are so thankful that God held her in the palm of his hand and still continues to. We are in awe of this precious gem that He has entrusted to us!!
